1.  Scientists have now concluded that a merry heart has tremendous physical benefits

2,  Research published by both Health Guidance and WebMD found each of the following to be true with respect to laughter:

  • Improves blood vessel functioning (and thereby improving blood flow)
  • Improves cholesterol levels
  • Improves blood pressure
  • Releases hormones (such as endorphins and serotonin) which reduce stress, lessen pain, and act as an antidepressant
  • Raises level of infection-fighting antibodies and boosts the levels of immune cells
  • Can lower blood sugar levels
  • Can lead to better sleep 1
