Jerusalem – A Burdensome Stone

Jerusalem’s Recapture in 1967 sets up the fulfillment of Bible Prophecy

If you ever wanted to see a prophecy that reads like the evening news, then this one given by Zechariah in 520 BC fits the bill:

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.” Zechariah 12: 2-3

This states that at that time of the end (after the Jews had returned to the Land), Jerusalem would be a burdensome stone for the whole world!

Ultimately, the Camp David Summit between Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak and Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat collapsed over the Palestinian demand for the “Right of Return” involving Jerusalem.

Camp David Summit crashes into walls of Jerusalem

Make no mistake about it – at its core, the Arab/Israeli crisis is about Jerusalem. At its core, the conflict between the West and the Middle East is about Jerusalem. Bible prophecy fulfilled right before our eyes!
